Our secret route starts from Khedmi, a beautiful, quiet hamlet near Mori. From here, the trek to the summit is a peaceful 12-kilometer ascent. Experiencing Kedarkantha in winter from this side of the mountain is astonishingly beautiful. The snow-draped pine forests remain pristine, and the silence of the valley is profound.

Getting There: Transit & Logistics
Getting to our basecamp from Dehradun or Rishikesh is a scenic 7 to 8 hour drive (approx. 170 km) through the beautiful pine forests of the Tons river valley. Trek The Thrills arranges dedicated pick up vehicles directly from Dehradun Railroad Station or airport to Khedmi making your transit completely hassle free. Otherwise you can drive your own vehicle and the roads via the Mussoorie-Purola highway are well maintained and will bring you right to our traditional chain stays by late afternoon.

As the first light hits the Himalayas, the majestic peaks of Swargarohini, Black Peak, and Bandarpoonch reveal themselves in all their glory.
